CRUISE HIGHLIGHTS
THE CROISIEUROPE DIFFERENCE
Passengers are welcome to board our ship at 6:00 p.m. After comfortably settling into your cabins, we'll introduce our crew at a welcome cocktail. Tonight we'll enjoy dinner and an evening of traditional Titi Parisien show on board. This evening, we'll enjoy a cruise through Paris at night(1). Our ship will remain in the heart of Paris overnight.
We'll spend the morning cruising on the Canal Saint-Martin in the heart of authentic Parisian neighborhoods.
The afternoon will be dedicated to a guided tour of Paris, bringing you to some of the important sites in the French capital: The Place de la Republique, the grand boulevards, Palais Garnier, Madeleine Church, Place Vendôme, and the Louvre. Leaving from the Palais-Royal, we'll walk through the unique Parisian covered walkways.
During the holidays, the covered walkways are marvelously decorated to dazzle the eyes. Take in the festive and colorful atmosphere while shopping in traditional boutiques. The ship will spend Christmas Eve docked at the Quai d'Austerlitz.
The morning will be spent cruising on the Seine River. This cruise will bring you side by side with the most beautiful sites and monuments in the French capital, such as the Île Saint-Louis, Île de la Cité (where Notre Dame sits majestically despite the damage), the Louvre, Tuileries Garden, Pont Alexandre III, and, of course, the Eiffel Tower and its Trocadéro Gardens. Our ship will dock at the Quai de Grenelle.
Set out this afternoon on a panoramic tour of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, one of the cradles of Parisian culture. We'll travel along the famous Triumphal Way—the Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elysées, and the Place de la Concorde—before arriving in Saint- Germain-des-Prés. This quaint neighborhood has a village-like feel to it. Some sites we'll see include the oldest church in the city, dating back to 543, and the Café de Flore, celebrated for its high-profile artistic history while remaining a popular spot for celebrities. A coffee here in the past could mean crossing paths with Jean-Paul Sartre, Simone de Beauvoir, Boris Vian, Guillaume Apollinaire, Albert Camus, or Pablo Picasso.
Take advantage of some free time this afternoon to stroll through one of the Parisian Christmas markets and revel in the holiday spirit! We'll return on board the ship. Tonight is our festive gala evening.
Enjoy one last buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9.00 a.m. End of our services.
For the safety of our passengers, the captain and crew of the boat may decide to modify the navigational itinerary. The order of the excursions may be reversed to ensure the best organization of your cruise.
